More Than Sad - Suicide Prevention Workshop

The Diocese of Manchester is pleased to partner with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention – NH Chapter, in presenting the “More Than Sad” program on suicide prevention.

The program will assist parents, teachers, and youth ministers in recognizing signs of depression and other mental health problems, initiating conversations about mental health, and getting someone the help they need.

Suicide is the 8th leading cause of death in New Hampshire, and the 2nd leading cause of death ages 15-34. This important workshop will provide information on warning signs, and steps that one can take to help prevent suicide.

A second presentation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord.

This program is free.

Parents and all who work with teens and young adults are welcome.
